About me

I'm an embroidery and textile artist from the West Midlands. I have always been a maker, and practically lived in my recycling bin as a child, making scrap sculptures or drawing on cardboard. However my interests have always been in textiles, as I found it was the only process I consistently returned to over the years. It wasn't until 2023 in the second year of my degree, that I started to really explore this interests in textiles.

From there I have developed my obsession with embroidery. I learned from the bare basics and threw myself into each project with no knowledge of how my well my skills would adapt. And over the past 2 and half years I have pushed myself further and further with each piece of work.

I am also a maniac for patches. I spend most of my time designing, stitching and constructing my own patches for clothing. I find a lot of freedom in making them and I'm always thinking of new designs. As someone who struggles with verbal communication I let my patches speak for me, making their creation both about expression and confidence. You can find my progression and process over on my Instagram.

As for my larger projects, I focus more on making an informative narrative. I enjoy creating work that speaks and informs, and so choose topics that either relate to my personal experiences or issues I feel the need to discuss. These projects can be seen in my Gallery.
